Frith Dekerilis, 2nd grade teacher ~
After practicing mindfulness, students are on-task, ready to learn, and so much happier, I’m also happier when I take time out to do mindfulness. The morning sessions take about 10 minutes.. When possible, I will also do a short breathing exercise before a test or quiz. When I do that, the mood is calmer, and the test scores are stronger. I see better results.

By the end of the school year, the number of times I needed to redirect a distracted student’s attention back to schoolwork was cut in half, That means I can spend more time on lesson, If children are ready to learn, I can offer them even more.

Jacquie has helped the teachers at our school with learning mindfulness, which in turn helps our students. She is a wonderful person and resource!

Meg Class, 1st grade teacher ~
The lessons were greatly anticipated by both children and myself. Jacquie has such a gentle encouraging, kind way of handling 6-7 year olds and their enthusiasm as well as their wiggly behaviors. The children were absorbed by well thought out lessons and their presentation. WE practice at least 2 times daily and if I forget the children will quickly remind me we haven’t done our mindful breathing yet.

The program is really great and I think 5th grade is an appropriate age to start. However, I do not think their experience should be over, Mindfulness takes practice and time.
