Meet Jacquie
Jacquelyn O'Malley, M.Ed, is co-founder and co-director of the Center for Mindfulness and Wellness. In addition to having three children of her own, Jacquie has counseled families, children and teens since 2001. She has a Masters of Education degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. She has also continued her studies in mindfulness, contextual theory, play therapy, and sandtray at the Family Play Therapy Center in Mount Airy, Pennsylvania. Since 2011, JacquieJacquie has studied mindfulness with Mindful Schools in Emeryville, California, and has completed a one-year Mindfulness Teacher Certification. She also has extensive experience working with children with ADD/ADHD, Aspergers and Anxiety.

Jacquie is a Pennsylvania certified school counselor and has worked with families addressing many issues: substance abuse, divorce, grief, anxiety, depression, academic issues, and anger management. Jacquie says: "In addition to love, understanding and patience, a family needs structure, discipline and boundaries. My goal is to help parents create a supportive, loving and peaceful environment in which children thrive." Her positive approach encourages both adults and teens to build upon their strengths and focus less on their weaknesses.

Feel free to contact Jacquie or set up an appointment. She would love to talk with you about the benefits of mindfulness training, for you or your teen, or about bringing mindfulness training to your school. You may reach Jacquie at 215-370-1626 or email her at jacquie@projectmindful.org.
